Yesterday, there was an all-out rally against the Charter Change, and as usual rally for the ouster of PGMA. I was supposed to go to the rally, if not for the latter, anyway.. The traffic was really really really heavy, and the human traffic was worse. But one can not whine.. the least I could do is to understand what they’re going through (the mob).

I feel for them, yes, but what I don’t understand is why they have to drag their kids all the way out in the streets. Hearing the little kids sing their chant was a little off and over the limit. What does a 6 year old child know about Cha-Cha? About PGMA? Maybe they know the lyrics of the song, but really, they don’t understand why they have to go out and  walk for hours. Their parents don’t realize that exposing children to that kind of situation might pose a very negative implication to their childhood. I’m not questioning their parenting style, I don’t know them, but I believe that they can show their advocacies in a better way.

It freaks me out to hear in the news that they are proud that they have brought their kids and the kids have chanted with them. A kid was interviewed and was asked what was he doing there. The kid answered that he was brought by his parents and that he supports them to oust PGMA. (he was stuttering while answering) You’ll feel in his voice how he was trained to answer in that kind of situation.  Oh well, people will do everything to get what they want.
